Daniel Hurtado

 Violin 

​

Born in Madrid, Daniel Hurtado began his musical studies at the age of 6 at the Andana Academy. He completed his intermediate degree with highest honors at the Professional Conservatory of Music Adolfo Salazar under teachers Víctor Correa and Farid Fasla.

 

He undertook his advanced studies under Rolando Prusack and Nicolás Chumachenco, winning the perfection grant awarded by Ibercaja Bank, leading him to give violin concerts and recitals within Spain during 2011-2012, accompanied by piano.

 

Additionally, Hurtado holds a Master's Degree from Codarts School of Music, University of Arts (Holland), having studied under  Micha Molthoff.

 

In 2013 he won first prize in the category of chamber music in

the International Accordion Festival competition in Beijing (China). He has worked with prestigious figures of the tango world such as Sebastián Prusak, Víctor Hugo Villena, Gustavo Beytelmann, Quinteto "El Después", Martín Alvarado and New Quinteto Real among others.

He has been part of numerous tango groups as a violinist, artistic and musical director in Europe and China, performing in some of the most important venues and festivals such as the "Mozart" hall 

of the Zaragoza Auditorium, the Beijing National Theater, Shanghai Culture Square, the Strawberry Festival in Beijing, the Shanghai World Music Festival, the "Double Eight" Festival, RASA Theater, and the International Tango Festival in Tarbes, among others.

 

Since 2018 he is the violinist of "Astor, the music of Astor Piazzolla", a quintet that plays the music of the great Argentine composer and bandoneonist.nd has given over 300 performances in Spain, Europe, and South America.

 

She is the bassist of "Astor, the music of Astor Piazzolla", a quintet that plays the music of the great Argentine composer and bandoneonist.
